ABOUT US

GOT QUESTIONS?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before your trip to AZA Surf Morocco.

Do I need surfing experience to join?

Not at all. We welcome complete beginners through to advanced surfers. Our packages and lessons are tailored to your level — we'll assess you on your first session and make sure you're in the right group with the right instructor.

What is the best time of year to surf in Taghazout?

Taghazout has waves year-round! The prime surf season runs from October through April, when consistent Atlantic swells produce the long point-break rides Taghazout is famous for. Summer (May–September) offers smaller, cleaner waves that are ideal for beginners and intermediates.

What is included in the surf packages?

Our all-inclusive packages cover accommodation at AZA House, daily surf lessons with certified instructors, surf equipment (board & wetsuit), breakfast and dinner, airport transfers, and optional add-ons like yoga, excursions to Paradise Valley, camel rides, and more. Check our Packages page for full details.

How do I get to AZA SURF HOUSE from the airport?

AZA Surf House is approximately 25 km north of Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA) — about a 30–40 minute taxi ride. All of our packages include airport transfer, so you won't need to worry about arranging transport yourself. Simply message us your flight details and we'll be at arrivals to meet you.

Is AZA suitable for solo travellers?

Absolutely — in fact, many of our most loyal guests first came solo. The communal atmosphere at AZA means you'll meet like-minded people from day one. Shared meals, group surf sessions, and evening hangouts on the rooftop make it very easy to connect.

Can I come with my family or children?

Yes! Families are very welcome at AZA. We have experience teaching children as young as 12 and our instructors are known for keeping younger surfers safe while making sure they have a brilliant time. Let us know the ages of your children when booking and we'll plan the right sessions for them.

What should I bring on my surf trip?

We provide surf boards and wetsuits, so you don't need to bring your own. We recommend packing: reef-safe sunscreen, a rash vest, comfortable beach and evening wear, a light jacket for evenings, a reusable water bottle, and your sense of adventure. A full packing list is sent with your booking confirmation.

How do I book and what is the payment policy?

You can book directly through our Packages page or by messaging us on WhatsApp. We ask for a 30% deposit to secure your spot, with the remainder due on arrival. All major payment methods are accepted. Cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival receive a full refund of the deposit.

Is Morocco safe for tourists?

Morocco is a welcoming and generally very safe destination for international tourists. Taghazout is a small, tight-knit surf village where visitors are warmly received. As with any travel destination, we recommend standard precautions — stay aware of your surroundings, keep valuables secure, and follow local customs. Our team is always on hand to offer guidance and support throughout your stay.

Do you offer yoga or wellness activities?

Yes! Our Surf & Yoga package combines daily surf lessons with guided yoga sessions designed to complement your surfing — improving balance, core strength, and flexibility. Sessions are held on our rooftop yoga shala overlooking the Atlantic at sunrise and sunset. Check our Activities page for everything we offer.
